We were so excited to kick off 2019 at TMLC! As we round the corner into our fifth year in business (wow!), this little startup is locking it up at some really fun events.
This month, we were back at the Outback Bowl in Tampa, and the Citrus Bowl and Pro Bowl games in Orlando. Floridians also saw our event lockers at more Magic games and Monster Jam! We managed to work in the Cher concert in Orlando, too.
In California, we did our first Spartan Race of the year – Spartan SoCal in Big Bear. It was so great to see all our return customers and new faces taking on the muddy OCR course. And, we were back for SD Gulls games and concerts at Pechanga Arena in San Diego (formerly the Valley View Casino Center) – Disturbed and Elton John.
Our biggest January news was the official rollout of our newest service offering – TMLC Mobile Bag Check! We’ve recognized that, for certain events such as large road races, our lockers are a great add-on to a standard bag check, but that we should also offer a full-scale logistical solution for these big races! Race organizers have enough on their plate – it’s time we put something together than took the stress of a large-scale gear check off their to-do list!
We knew we needed to create a service with three elements: 1) It had to be mobile – both for point-to-point races and for security concerns, so all bags can be moved offsite quickly if needed 2) It has to be able to be set-up in advance, and driven in on race morning 3) It must be a system that’s quick for runners, easy for volunteers, and protective of all bags.
And so, the TMLC Mobile Bag Check system was born! We’ll be adding an info page to our site for details soon, or you can email us directly for more information if you can’t wait at molly@themobilelockerco.com.
